Job seekers, employees and employers should acquaint themselves with the Virgin Islands Labour Code, Act 2010 since it provisions for the efficient management of the Virgin Island's labour market.  The Virgin Islands Labour Code, Act 2010 commonly referred to as the Labour Code stipulates the laws and regulations in regards to the BVI workforce and is generally the Territory's system of Labour Administration.

The VI Labour Code Act 2010 covers major areas such as basic conditions of employment, termination of employment, disciplinary action, continuity of employment, severance payments and retirement benefits, equality treatment in employment, protection of children and young persons, health, safety and welfare, work permits etc.
