Job Summary
Terminix is seeking a motivated and dependable Trainee Pest Control Technician to join our team in the British Virgin Islands.
No prior experience is required — full training will be provided.
Overview
After completing training, your role will involve identifying, treating, and preventing pest infestations across residential and commercial properties throughout the British Virgin Islands. You will be responsible for managing common pests such as rodents (rats and mice), termites, cockroaches, ants, mosquitoes, bed bugs, and other structural and nuisance pests common to the region.
Work Activities
Treatment of infestations in homes, hotels, restaurants, offices, marinas, construction sites, warehouses, and other facilities. Duties include:
• Conducting detailed property inspections to identify pest activity
• Determining sources and entry points of infestations
• Selecting and applying appropriate treatment methods
• Safely applying pesticides, baits, and control products
• Installing monitoring and baiting systems
• Sealing entry points and advising on proofing solutions
• Removing and disposing of pests according to regulations
• Educating clients on preventative pest control practices
• Completing digital service reports and documentation
• Maintaining equipment, tools, and company vehicle8
• Adhering strictly to health, safety, and environmental standards
• Participating in ongoing training and team meetings
Requirements
– Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
– High School Diploma or equivalent
– Previous work experience a plus but not required
– Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional early start times (as early as 6:00AM).
– Eagerness to learn and develop new skills related to pest control and landscape treatment.
– Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
– Strong spoken and written English communication skills
– Excellent customer service skills
