Road Town, Tortola (February 18, 2017): HireBVI embraced the opportunity to participate in the ESHS Career Exposition held on February 15, 2017.  The career exposition which provided a forum for students and employers to discuss career opportunities saw seniors from high schools within the Territory.

“The day was well-spent.  We are the BVI’s employment website and with that comes our commitment to be involved in our community.  We believe in educating and motivating our young people” stated Rekeema Turnbull, Managing Director.

At the career exposition, HireBVI was able to provide the students with exposure to local career opportunities as well as insights and tips on how to effectively market themselves to employers.

“The students were provided with what we call a Cheat Sheet, which encompassed Resume Writing Tips and Interview Tips. They were eager to learn and we were just as eager to share,” explained Miss Turnbull.

Our next community outreach campaign which kicks off on March 3, 2017 is entitled “Show me the Way: A Roadmap to Employment”. More details to follow soon.
